Document Types

This document lists and describes all document types needed to activate a certain type of merchants.

power_of_attorney (Required)​

Power of Attorney issued by the Ministry of Justice that gives a person the ability to sign on documents.

  • Fields: number
  • Merchant Types: Required when signatory is set to power_of_attorney
  • Max Uploads: 1

signatory_address (Required)​

Official Proof of National Address for the authorized signatory.

  • Fields: name, street, district, building_number, secondary_number, postal_code, city, country
  • Merchant Types: Required when signatory is set to power_of_attorney or commercial_registration
  • Max Uploads: Up to owner count

signatory_id (Optional)​

National/IQAMA ID of the authorized signatory.

  • Fields: id, date_of_birth
  • Merchant Types: Required when signatory is set to power_of_attorney or commercial_registration
  • Max Uploads: Up to owner count

vat_certificate (Required)​

VAT certificate if the business is required to pay taxes by law. The name must match the one in Commercial Registration.

  • Fields: number
  • Merchant Types: merchants
  • Max Uploads: 1

activity_license (Required)​

Activity License. Needed when the activity in CR requires one.

  • Fields: number
  • Merchant Types: Required when activity_license_required is set to true
  • Max Uploads: No Limit

bank_iban_certificate (Required)​

Official Bank IBAN Certificate

  • Fields: holder, iban
  • Merchant Types: All
  • Max Uploads: 1

commercial_registration (Required)​

Commercial Registration for the merchant business.

  • Fields: number
  • Merchant Types: establishment, company, foreign_company
  • Max Uploads: 1

company_address (Required)​

Official Proof of National Address for the merchant business.

  • Fields: name, street, district, building_number, secondary_number, postal_code, city, country
  • Merchant Types: establishment, company, foreign_company
  • Max Uploads: 1

freelance_certificate (Required)​

Freelance Certificate

  • Fields: number, expiry_date
  • Merchant Types: Freelancer
  • Max Uploads: 1

investment_license (Required)​

Investment License issued by the Ministry of Investment

  • Fields: number, expiry_date
  • Merchant Types: company, foreign_company
  • Max Uploads: 1

owner_address (Required)​

Official Proof of National Address for the business owner.

  • Fields: name, street, district, building_number, secondary_number, postal_code, city, country
  • Merchant Types: All
  • Max Uploads: Up to signatory count

owner_id (Optional)​

National/IQAMA ID of the business owner

  • Fields: id, date_of_birth
  • Merchant Types: All
  • Max Uploads: Up to signatory count

other (Optional)​
